VO Vintage returns to Vicenza from September 4th to 7th, bringing a curated selection of vintage jewellery and watches to Hall 8.1 at the Italian Exhibition Group’s Expo Centre. The B2C marketplace gathers Italian and international dealers for a fair that has grown with each edition, responding to the increasing interest from informed collectors and enthusiasts.

This edition features 52 dealers, including 23 specialist watch retailers and 29 jewellery retailers. The event is 25% larger than the January meeting, offering a wider variety of products. Beyond the commercial aspect, the format includes a strong cultural component where visitors can meet specialists and learn about the history and craftsmanship of the objects. Matteo Pollini, Exhibition Manager at Italian Exhibition Group, explained the focus on awareness.

“We blend passion, expertise and discovery, creating an environment where the public can approach collecting with greater awareness.”

Dealers range from Italian names like Zagari, which specialises in signed jewellery and old-cut diamonds, to international participants like EL&L Finery from the Netherlands, which focuses on late 19th to early 20th-century antiques. New entries include Thomas Huijbrechts from the Netherlands and Twinkle D from Monaco. Spangaro & Co. returns with a preview of its auction event, The One.

Programme Of Talks And Demonstrations

VO Vintage includes a weekend of talks and live events. On Saturday, Dody Giussani, editor of L’Orologio magazine, and Pietro Pannone, founder of Ghiera Orologi and co-author of the Laboratorio podcast, will be recording a live episode of their podcast.

For many attendees, the practical benefit of visiting is simply seeing the items up close. Being able to physically inspect a piece’s movement or the cut of a gemstone provides a level of assurance that online listings cannot replicate. This tactile experience allows collectors to verify the condition and provenance of a piece in real time, which is essential when dealing with high-value antiques.

Italian Exhibition Group has expanded the exhibition space to accommodate the growing demand. The floor plan now includes dedicated areas for specific eras and styles, helping visitors handle the vast inventory more efficiently. Curators have worked to ensure that the layout encourages browsing rather than rushing, allowing for a more immersive experience.

Attendees can explore the latest trends in luxury gifting, including options for the upcoming festival season. Visitors looking for distinctive items will find inspiration in the diverse offerings. The fair serves as a hub for connection, bringing together people who share a passion for horology and adornment.
