Jewellery Editor Unveils Seasonal Collections
French jewellery designers are adopting two dominant themes for the year, according to an analysis by Francéclat, the French Economic Development Committee representing the country’s jewellery, watchmaking, and tableware creators. The report identifies Odyssey and Cosmic Reflections as the leading trends shaping collections from Paris to the Riviera.
The Odyssey Theme
Odyssey captures the wanderlust of travel, exotic destinations, and golden shores rendered in organic shapes, bold volumes, and vivid colours. The theme gained momentum following Christopher Nolan’s film adaptation of Homer’s epic poem, though jewellers explore far more than Grecian motifs.
Ashaha’s gold and diamond shield-shaped ring pays homage to Kahina, the legendary Berber warrior queen. Mashandy’s Isyce Grec ring offers a contemporary take on Greek aesthetics with a sky-blue sapphire set in a facetted bronze band. Raphaëlle Coqblin’s Crush Nova ring channels the power of the star as a guiding amulet, featuring diamonds and a vivid green indicolite.
Rare botanical specimens appear throughout this theme. D1928’s Pinède ring recalls the silhouette of umbrella pines from the French Riviera in diamonds, pearls, and gold. Dorothée Potocka’s L’Horizon Orange ring features three vivid red coral beads emerging from honeycombed leaves, with gold hand-engraved using the rigato technique. Mellerio, the world’s oldest family-owned jeweller, transformed the rare vanilla cactus—which blooms for just one night—into the delicate Le Petit Cactus rose gold ring with coloured diamonds. Mathon Paris’s Lilas ring clusters yellow gold orbs dusted with white and brown diamonds.

Celestial and Cosmic Motifs
Cosmic Reflections draws from the night sky with fluid lines, bold geometry, and mesmerising symmetry. Dinh Van’s Le Cube Diamant earrings exemplify this approach with minimalist chic that has earned the house a reputation as one of Paris’ style leaders.
Marie Mas’s Radiant choker sets a galaxy of stars orbiting the neck, reflecting the designer’s ethos of jewellery in motion.
Light and dark interplay appears in Nouvel Héritage’s Tuxedo Mood bangle in white gold and diamonds and Akillis’ Capture Me open bangle contrasting mirror-polished white gold with black titanium. Maison Marcelle’s Equation bracelet and JEM’s Via XXl single earring explore cosmic resonances through concentric arcs and lab-grown diamonds.
