Jewellery stocks slip on gold buying concerns

Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, the Indian fashion house renowned for its maximalist couture, has extended its creative legacy into the area of fine jewellery with the launch of its debut collection, “Iconic Jewels.” This new venture comes hot on the heels of the brand’s 40th anniversary celebration, adding another dimension to its illustrious history. The collection, conceived as a work of art, is a brilliant new chapter that illuminates the duo’s design legacy with the same maximalist philosophy that has produced some of the most unforgettable couture creations from their atelier.
The “Iconic Jewels” collection comprises six distinct ranges, each drawing personal inspiration from the design duo’s creative journey. The ranges are: Abad, Roshnai, Talismati, Junoon, Rudra, and Taweez.
The Abad Collection is a radiant tribute to Patola embroidery. Crafted in lustrous 18-karat gold, Zambian emeralds, Mozambique rubies, and multicoloured sapphires, the pieces in this range capture the detailed embroidery motifs with impossible precision. Each gemstone is not just an accent but a sign to the house’s commitment to exceptional craftsmanship.
The Roshnai Collection pays homage to the detailed art of Chikankari. It is a symphony of diamonds and pearls set in Mughal-inspired motifs, reflecting the duo’s deep appreciation for India’s rich artistic heritage.
The Talismati Collection carries mystical influences, expressed in diamonds, rubies, and gold. The pieces in this range are not only reflections of personal taste but also symbols of spiritual substance.

The Rudra Collection, also influenced by mysticism, features diamonds, rubies, and gold. It includes pieces like Shiva’s eye and the protective symbol of the Taweez.
The Junoon Collection, crafted with fiery emeralds and rubies, is a glorious ode to our inner passion and intensity. The detailed scales of a dragon, used as a motif, represent the inner fire that drives us.
Fronting the campaign for this dazzling line is none other than Dimple Kapadia, the eternal muse of Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. Her association with the design duo goes back decades, to the time when she was one of the first clients to walk into their debut boutique, Mata Hari. Over the years, she has remained a muse and a friend to the house, bringing her own unmistakable presence to its creations. Her return as the face of their first-ever jewellery collection feels like a natural continuation of this enduring relationship. Kapadia sparkles with the same hypnotic allure as the jewels she adorns, embodying the epitome of taste and beauty.
The pieces from the “Iconic Jewels” collection are housed in a dedicated vault at the brand’s flagship store in South Mumbai. The vault’s design is an architectural marvel, with the entire structure shaped like a diamond. This geometric silhouette is crowned by detailed lotus motifs, blending sharp, modern lines with the house’s signature floral aesthetic. The design is a literal tribute to the art of gem-cutting, with every angle of the room reflecting the precision found in high jewellery.
